Société Générale Shares Sink After New CEO Lays Out Strategy

Société Générale’s new Chief Executive Officer Slavomir Krupa laid out Monday how he wants the French lender to be a “rock-solid and sustainable top tier European bank.”

It was the first time Krupa—a former investment-banking chief who became CEO in May—has detailed his full vision for Société Générale. But investors appeared unimpressed, driving the bank’s shares down more than 9%.
