Nicole Kidman had Us seeing red at the GQ Men of the Year Awards.
Kidman, 57, nearly blended into the red carpet — and matching backdrop — at the awards ceremony, held at the Roof Gardens in London on Tuesday, November 19, in a cherry Balenciaga gown. The number featured a sleek mock neck, a fitted silhouette and a floor-length skirt.
When Kidman, who also debuted her brightened platinum hair, turned around on the red carpet, she revealed the pièce de résistance: a lace-up back. The corset started at her shoulders and crisscrossed all the way to her ankles. Kidman held the ends of the laces in her hands while posing for photographers.
Styled by Jason Bolden, the actress topped off her fiery look with pointed-toe heels, a silver ring and dangling sparkly earrings.
Kidman glammed up her ensemble even more with her makeup, which included a sharp contour, filled-in eyebrows, blushed cheeks, brown eyeliner and pink lips. Her platinum blonde hair — which was previously dyed a warmer blonde shade — was parted down the middle and styled in lived-in waves.
This isn’t the first time Kidman has opted for a bedhead-chic coif on the red carpet.
Earlier this month, on Sunday, November 17, she graced the red carpet in a black Celine design featuring a bedazzled neckline that cascaded into a sexy open back and attached to a black body with cutouts over her shoulders and chest. The frock was finished with a thigh-high slit and long sleeves.
Kidman paired the style with black heels and soft glam, including mascara and pink lips. Her honey-blonde tresses were teased and internationally styled with flyaways for a slightly undone finish.
Through the years, Kidman has proved she can easily slay any hairdo, including tight coils, Hollywood-style pin curls, blunt bobs and more. Maybe blondes really do have more fun.
