Hugh Grant had the time of his life with Travis Kelce at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
The Notting Hill star attended one of Swift’s sold-out London shows at Wembley Stadium in June at his daughter’s behest and recalled getting “smashed” with the pop star’s NFL football player boyfriend.
“It’s my daughter who’s mad about Taylor Swift. I’m an amazing dad. I’m an amazing person. I put out some feelers and to my astonishment, they said, ‘Come along,’ and I thoroughly enjoyed it,” Grant, 64, told NME in an interview published on Tuesday, October 29. “She went mad, my daughter. She brought a friend and they were bopping away and I hung out with Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who’s an American football player.”
Grant revealed that he and Kelce, 35, had their own fun while his daughter enjoyed the concert.
“We did tequila shots at the back of this kind of hut in the middle of Wembley. And there were a bunch of, I think they were, rappers. I dunno what they were. Anyway, we all got absolutely smashed on tequila.”
Back in June, Grant raved about attending Swift’s record-breaking tour via X, writing: “Dear @taylorswift13 , You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.”
Swift saw the actor’s post and responded that she was a huge fan of his. “As a long time Hugh Grant stan this tweet is very important to my culture.”
“It’s extremely nice,” Grant told NME of Swift’s message. “Her and her team [are] very hospitable, and it’s a brilliant show.”
Grant wasn’t the only A-lister who attended Swift’s London shows in June and August. Celebs like Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Liam Hemsworth, Gabriella Brooks, Greta Gerwig, Idris Elba, Zoë Kravitz, Channing Tatum and Tom Cruise filled the VIP tent to dance the night away.
Swift also shared a backstage selfie with Prince William and his two eldest children, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, alongside Kelce, 34, after her June 21 show.
Swift’s family and Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, and his wife, Kylie Kelce, also made an appearance. The June 23 concert was topped off by Kelce’s appearance on stage during her transition from “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
