Bills' Taron Johnson with a 23-yard interception return TD

INDIANAPOLIS — It didn’t take long for the Buffalo Bills to get on the board against the Indianapolis Colts.

After the Bills were forced to punt after a four-play drive to open the game, the defense immediately victimized quarterback Joe Flacco. Nickel cornerback Taron Johnson picked off Flacco and returned the ball 23 yards for a touchdown.

The pass was intended for wide receiver Josh Downs, but Flacco appeared to underthrow the ball with Johnson able to easily take it away.

It is the third career pick-six for Johnson, including playoffs and the team’s second interception return for a touchdown of the season, matching their total from 2023.

The Bills have sent a blitz on two Joe Flacco dropbacks, both have resulted in interceptions. The Bills had just one interception on a blitz this season entering Sunday.

This is Flacco’s 40th career game with multiple interceptions, the 2nd most among active players (Matthew Stafford, 44).
